3 artists in the town

Rémi David, Dominique Maurizi, Ernest Pignon-Ernest, Pauline Sciot
Ernest Pignon-Ernest, Alexander Calder and Hundertwasser invented the city. These three artists of the XXth century have taken over street space and left their mark on urban places with conviction, energy, imagination and their poetic vision.
  • Rémi David Writer, artist and traveller, Rémi David published his first novel, Lava, with the publisher "Le Tripode" in January 2015. He has written, in the "Seeds and Guides" collection, the titles on Hundertwasser, Ernest Pignon-Ernest and the mime artist Marceau.

  • Dominique Maurizi Writer and artist, Dominique Maurizi is the authoress of stories, short stories, and books of poetry, published notably by Albertine and Isolato. Dominique Maurizi also paints, draws, and takes photographs.

  • Ernest Pignon-Ernest is known worldwide for having brought art out of the Art Gallery. « Street Art » owes its origins to him. His works, although often politically engaged, remain full of poetry.

  • Pauline Sciot is trained as a graphic artist. She graduated from ESAG Penninghen. A lover of photography and illustration, she enjoyed relating the lives of François Truffaut, Charlie Chaplin, or Joséphine Baker with the tip of her brush, for the “Seeds and Guides” collection.
