Sitting Bull,
the bison of the Great Plains

  • Gopal Dagnogo is a painter. He nourishes his work from combinations, readings, and the diversity that he encounters during his travels between Africa, Europe, and Asia.  In the “Seeds and Guides” collection, he has illustrated the title on Sitting Bull, Miriam Makeba, Alexandra David-Néel, as well as that on Léon-Gontran Damas.

  • Marilyn Plénard , corrector/proof-reader, she has collaborated with the « Biotechnologies » section of the Echos’ newspaper. She is working at the moment for the monthly magazine Notre Temps. At the same time, she translates and adapts popular tales from around the world for the “Caravane des Contes” collection, published by Flies France. Thus, Albert Einstein’s universe, both rigorous and wonderful, could only enchant her…

We speak of it!
  • (Sitting Bull)
A biography of Sitting Bull intended for young people, 8 to12 years old. It is the kind of text that can often convey all possible prejudice without anyone being wary of it. Well, not here. The work is a marvel of its kind, which re-establishes the truth.
  • A subject for all, young and old, illustrated in ink and pencil in a style that is inspired by Indian art, in which the chief who has gone down in history is brought back to life with mastery.
