The Cinema Factory

Véronique v. Beau, Aïdée Caillot, Hélène Deschamps, Pierre-Luc Granjon, Gianpaolo Pagni, Pauline Sciot
Three cinema volumes, available as a set, is offered under the title "The Cinema Factory". This set brings together the titles on Alfred Hitchcock, François Truffaut and Eric Rohmer.
  • Véronique v. Beau loves the singularity of childhood. She has written the title on François Truffaut and that on Karen Blixen in the “Seeds and Guides” collection.

  • Aïdée Caillot , faithful and discreet fan of Rohmer for more than thirty years, friend of the director, and actress in some of his films, is also an authoress and director herself.

  • Hélène Deschamps After getting her DEA (Masters of research) in cinema, Hélène Deschamps wrote a book on L’Amour fou by Jacques Rivette. Today she is a projectionist and conveyor in cinema: with her caravan, she goes from class to class talking about cinema to children and leading workshops to make them see the images from the other side… Hélène adores the films of Pierre-Luc Granjon!

  • Pierre-Luc Granjon Director, scriptwriter, director of photography, set designer… Pierre-Luc Granjon has multiple talents and makes wonderful cartoon films such as La Grosse bête (les Décadrés), L’Automne de Pougne, L’Eté de Boniface, Le Printemps de Mélie, L’Hiver de Léon (Folimage), Le loup blanc (Sacrebleu Production), etc.

  • Gianpaolo Pagni was born in Turin, Italy. He draws for the press, as well as publishes and conceives artists’ books for children and adults. Among the most recent are ABC Tam Tam published with Mémo, Mémoire Tampon published with Maison Rouge, and Double face published with Corraini Editore. The silhouette, the color, the imprint in general, and more particularly the tampon pad, are the fundamental elements of his work.

  • Pauline Sciot is trained as a graphic artist. She graduated from ESAG Penninghen. A lover of photography and illustration, she enjoyed relating the lives of François Truffaut, Charlie Chaplin, or Joséphine Baker with the tip of her brush, for the “Seeds and Guides” collection.
